License for CODESYS Runtime Engine on groov RIO module

Production Specification

When added to a groov RIO® module (GRV-R7-MM1001-10, GRV-R7-MM2001-10, or GRV-R7-I1VAPM-3), this CODESYS® Runtime Engine license removes the two-hour time limit (trial mode) on the runtime engine installed on the groov® RIO module.

If you're going to program the groov RIO module with CODESYS, you need this license. For more information, see CODESYS (IEC 61131-3). With this license, you can use any IEC 61131-3 compliant language to create a control program that will run on the groov RIO module. IEC 61131-3 compliant languages include structured text, ladder logic diagram, functional block diagram, and continuous or sequential function chart. 

NOTE: In addition to this license, you will need to download and install (to your PC) version 3.1.0.0 or later of the Opto 22 Library Package for CODESYS Development System.

TO OBTAIN YOUR LICENSE:
  1. Add it to your cart and check out, or contact Opto 22 and order the license. You will receive an order confirmation and then a separate email certificate with an Activation Key for GROOV-LIC-CRE-RIO.
  2. When you get the email, log into your My.Opto account and activate the license. When activating your license, you’ll need the serial number of the groov RIO you wish to apply the license to.
  3. Download the CODESYS Ticket ID.
  4. Use the CODESYS License Manager tool to enter the ticket ID. (In the groov RIO Universal I/O User's Guide [form 2324], search for "Entering the CODESYS Ticket ID").
To use GROOV-LIC-CRE-RIO, you must have a groov RIO module (GRV-R7-MM1001-10, GRV-R7-MM2001-10, or GRV-R7-I1VAPM-3).

With a single part number (GRV-R7-I1VAPM-3), you can monitor AC voltage, current, power, and energy usage on wye or delta circuits up to UL 61010-3 measurement category III; power over Ethernet; and mounting without the need for a rack or chassis—in a compact industrial package. It can monitor three-phase AC current using 0.333 V, 1 V, or 5 A current transformers (CT). The module includes built-in processing and communication through web-based configuration, flow logic software, efficient data communication methods, centralized user management, and support for multiple operations technology (OT) and information technology (IT) protocols to simplify any IIoT or automation application.
