PAC Control "Get I/O Unit as Binary Value" command may return incorrect values for certain SNAP I/O units

Applies To:

PAC Control Basic
PAC Control Professional

Versions Affected:

All versions

Symptoms:

This issue only impacts the following SNAP I/O units:

  • SNAP-PAC-EB1
  • SNAP-PAC-EB2
  • SNAP-PAC-R1-B
  • SNAP-PAC-R2
  • SNAP-PAC-SB1
  • SNAP-PAC-SB2
  • SNAP-ENET-D64
  • SNAP-ENET-S64
  • SNAP-UP1-D64
  • SNAP-UP1-M64
When using a 32-bit integer variable in the Put In argument of the Get I/O Unit as Binary Value command and specifying an impacted SNAP I/O unit that has any channel from 31 to 63 set to ON in the From argument, you may receive the following incorrect values:
  • 2,147,483,647
  • 2,147,483,648
Additionally, you may encounter an overflow (-13) error in the control engine’s message queue.

Workaround:

Specify a 64-bit integer variable for the Put In argument or use the Get the I/O Unit as Binary Value 64 command.
