Since 1962, Ridge Vineyards of California has championed single-vineyard winemaking, embracing "pre-industrial" techniques that avoid modern additives and over-processing to bring the most high-quality and authentic tasting wine. Their production facilities in Cupertino and Healdsburg focus on making single-vineyard wines, farming organically and ensuring transparency from the vine to the bottle.
Wine production generates significant wastewater containing organic matter. Ridge had automated parts of their winemaking operation, but the wastewater process was still relying on manual checks that offered limited visibility into system performance. These manual, "old school" processes did not align with their sustainability and efficiency initiatives.
In this case study, find out how Ridge Vineyards, with the help of OptoPartner DNR Systems, was able to design and manage a complete wastewater system with Opto 22's groov EPIC as the central automation hub. <less
