Sending test emails in PAC Display may fail or freeze the application

Symptoms:

When configuring email alarms in PAC Display Configurator, you may encounter errors when attempting to send test emails. PAC Display Runtime may also freeze.

Workaround:

Email services using the TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols are no longer supported. Use an email service that uses the SSL protocol (you may still encounter errors if using Gmail).

Resolution:

Opto 22 is investigating this issue.
