Strategy with imported .otg file causes -128 error

Symptoms:

You may have this issue if:

You manually edit an I/O configuration file (.otg) and change a channel name.
You import that I/O configuration file into a strategy without errors.
You save and close the strategy.
You attempt to open the strategy and it report error -128: "Invalid character in Channel name. Valid characters are letters, numbers, and underscore. The first letter must be alphabetic."

Workaround:

If you manually edit an .otg file, before importing it into a strategy, carefully check that channel names start with a letter and have only valid characters.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
