Can't stop PAC Control strategy that has 0 running charts

Symptoms:

Most PAC Control strategies have one or more charts that run continuously in a loop. This issue only occurs with strategies that use charts that do not run in a loop.

In PAC Control, when you start a strategy, PAC Control considers it as running—even if all charts have finished (in other words, no charts are running)—until a command is sent to stop the strategy. This is how PAC Control differentiates between a strategy that started and finished versus a strategy that has not started at all.

The user interface in groov Manage was not consistent with this behavior. groov Manage presented the strategy as stopped if all charts were stopped, even if you started the strategy and all charts finished running.

Workaround:

Use PAC Control Debug mode to stop the strategy after all charts finish running.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
