groov View may hang while using video gadgets with the proxy option enabled

GROOV-AT1, GROOV-AT1-SNAP
GROOV-SVR-WIN, GROOV-SVR-WIN-BASE, GROOV-SVR-WIN-SNAP

Versions Affected:

For groov EPIC processors: All versions prior to 3.4.0
For all other part numbers: All versions prior to 4.4a

Resolved In Version:

For groov EPIC processors: 3.4.0
For all other part numbers: 4.4a

Symptoms:

If you have video gadgets with the "Use groov as a proxy option" enabled, and if the connection to the camera is not reliable, groov View may stop responding. If the page with the video gadgets is open, the gadgets on that page show yellow triangles. Attempting to refresh the page fails as follows:

On GRV-EPIC-PR1 and GRV-EPIC-PR2, you'll see an error that says "504 Gateway Time-out".
On other devices, the page fails to load.

Workaround:

If possible, run with the proxy option disabled.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
