Control engine resets on first attempt to communicate with an alternate host task

Symptoms:

After you do the following steps, the groov EPIC control engine resets; for SoftPAC, a -16 bus error message is placed in its message queue and the alternate host task will not work:

In a PAC Control strategy, use an extended bank write command, such as Move Numeric Table To I/O Unit Ex, with over 16 channels per module for a groov EPIC or a groov RIO I/O unit. The I/O unit must contain at least one configured analog output channel.
Start an alternate host task.
