PAC Control: mistic I/O unit configured with PIDs imported into another strategy may be configured incorrectly or run incorrectly

Applies To:

PAC Control Professional

Versions Affected:

R10.3c to R10.5a (may affect previous versions)

Resolved In Version:

R10.5b

Symptoms:

If you import a mistic I/O unit configured with PIDs into another strategy, you may observe the following:

  • The PID may not be configured as it was originally. When you check its configuration (in the Strategy Tree, expand the I/O Units folder and navigate to the PID loop, then double-click it), the Edit PID Loop shows 0 (zero) in the Scan Rate field and the Algorithm field is empty (no algorithm selected).
  • A "Tag Database Import Errors" tab may open in PAC Control with a warning that the I/O unit's IP address or hostname is being used by another I/O unit even if it's not.
The issue occurs regardless of the setting of the Enable mistic I/O units and commands option (available only in PAC Control Professional).

Resolution:
