groov View: Clearing a Text Area gadget's text doesn't work

Versions Affected:

R4.2a and R4.2b

Symptoms:

In Build mode, if you clear a Text Area gadget's text by selecting all of the text and pressing the Delete or Backspace key, the text box will clear, but the gadget itself won't be updated. In View mode, the page will not show the gadget as edited.

However, changing any character in the text, and then clearing the text, will work.

Workaround:

Change the text in any way (including by just deleting a single character), and then you can clear it.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
