PAC Display Runtime displays TValue "Reference Type/Actual Type =" error messages and then crashes

Applies To:

PAC Display Basic
PAC Display Professional

Versions Affected:

R9.5a through R10.0b, and Beta version B10.0c, all builds through 0013

Symptoms:

In PAC Display Configurator, if you configure a graphical object using the the Quick Tag Entry feature and then delete a required field in the tag name, when the operator clicks the object in Runtime, one or more "TValue" error messages is displayed. After the operator clicks OK on one or more of the error messages, PAC Display Runtime will crash.

Workaround:

In PAC Display Configurator, correct the invalid tag name.

NOTE: This issue happens when a tag name is configured using the Quick Tag Entry feature, and you accidentally or purposely delete the Controller, Item Name, or Field / Bit part of the tag name.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
