groov I/O module loses custom configuration

Applies To:

Firmware for:
GRV-EPIC-PR1

Versions Affected:

All versions prior to 1.1.0

Resolved In Version:

1.1.0

Symptoms:

Sometimes the custom configuration in a groov I/O module is overwritten with defaults when the strategy runs. Even if you stop and restart the strategy, the module's configuration is still set to its defaults.

This situation can occur when you've configured a module (for example, the GRV-OVMALC-8) in a particular slot (for example, slot 3), but the module isn't present in the slot when you run a strategy (for example, the slot is vacant or a different model is in the slot). If later you put the module in the slot, it will be configured with defaults.

This issue can also happen when a module is configured and is in the expected slot, but later you remove it and put a different type of module in the slot. If you then put the original module back in the slot, it will be configured with defaults.

Workaround:

Option 1:
Make a change in the strategy or I/O configuration (something temporary that you can change back later), and then download and run the strategy with the module in the configured position. If needed, stop running the strategy, undo your change, and then re-download and run the strategy.

Option 2:
Cycle power to GRV-EPIC-PR1.

Resolution:
