Signature Projects

ioControl Solution: Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District Water and Wastewater Control System.

Partner Overview

The AutoMate Co., LLC. provides complete solutions with Opto 22 products. Customers include: MEMC (Monsanto Electronic Materials Corp), Coca-Cola Enterprises, Applied Foods Biotechnology, APAC, Inc. (Ashland Chemical), Olin Corp. (Winchester Western Div), Lectro Engineering, multiple water districts, Polaris Pipe Co., Metalized Materials Co., Rotometrics Co.

For example an ioControl solution for Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District Water and Wastewater Control System. This project was implemented in two key phases:
  • Phase II. Engineered and installed nine remotely located control panels for deep-well pump systems providing all District water. System provides level control for four water towers, three well sites, and two booster stations via WiFi Ethernet telemetry.
  • Phase III will include the same for 27 lift stations. System includes multiple networked MMI interfaces with WINN911 OPC connected alarm package & Dialogic telephony voice card. System reads I/O point text, calls operator via cell phone with voice-synthesized message, and allows ACK and control via DTMF. System will incorporate mobil MMI interface in Phase III. Additionally, a new wastewater plant will be entirely controlled by SNAP PAC controllers and I/O.

Solutions

  • ioControl solution: Coca-Cola Dasani Water Bottling System. Engineered and installed three remotely located deep-well VFD-driven pump systems, providing all process plant water. System provides pressure-regulated, flow-on-demand water from 0-1500 gpm via WiFi Ethernet telemetry. System controlled via one SNAP Ultimate I/O and two Ethernet brains.
  • ioControl solution: Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District Water and Wastewater Control System. Currently at Phase II. Engineered and installed 9 remotely located control panels for deep-well pump systems, providing all District water. System provides level control for four water towers, three well sites, and two booster stations via WiFi Ethernet telemetry. Phase III will include the same for 27 lift stations. System includes multiple networked MMI interfaces with WINN911 OPC-connected alarm package & Dialogic telephony voice card. System reads I/O point text and calls operator via cell phone with voice-synthesized message. System to incorporate mobile MMI interface.
  • ioControl solution: Pomona Public Water District Control System. Engineered and installed a two- site well control system with solar power controlled by two SNAP-PAC-R1s. Provided 450 watt BP solar panel mounted on top of 100-foot water standpipe. Telemetry to well site via WiFi Ethernet system.
  • OptoControl solution: Olin Corp. Winchester Western Division. Engineered & installed control of primer powder waste-reduction process. Included NEMA 4 touchscreen MMI with OptoDisplay and LCSX+ control panel.
  • Optomux solution: Complete re-engineering of original Paragon/Optomux control of multiline production system at Metalized Materials Corp. Provided rework of hardware and software control to take system from barely operational to full production status.
