Applies To:

FactoryFloor Software – OptoControl

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.0a of PAC Control
R7.1a of ioControl
R4.1 of OptoControl
Problem is fixed in version: R8.1c PAC Control

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.1c PAC Control

Symptoms:

From within a script block, OptoScript incorrectly allows certain commands to be used with I/O points that reside on I/O units that do not support the commands. The OptoScript code compiles and downloads properly to the control engine, but fails to return a value when the strategy is run. Instead, an OptoScript compiler error message should report the command is not available on the specified I/O point.

Commands affected:
Generate N Pulses
Get & Clear Analog Filtered Value
Get & Clear Analog Totalizer Value
Get Analog Totalizer Value
Set Analog Totalizer Rate
Get Analog Filtered Value
Get Analog Square Root Filtered Value
Get Analog Square Root Value
Start Continuous Square Wave
Start Off-Pulse
Start On-Pulse
Ramp Analog Output

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue for PAC Control.
