Storing strategy to SNAP-LCE flash EPROM causes communication loss

Applies To:

SNAP-LCE

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R7.0c
Resolution is included beginning in beta version: B7.1f
Problem is fixed in version: R7.1f

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R7.1f

Symptoms:

When a strategy is stored to the SNAP-LCE’s flash EPROM and the controller is turned off and then back on, the controller no longer communicates. Attempts to communicate to the controller with ioControl cause error –10038 to be reported. The ACT LED does not flash to show activity, and the LNK LED does not light after the initial controller boot-up sequence. A lit LNK LED would indicate the Ethernet network was detected.

Workaround:

To work around this problem, reset the controller to factory defaults. Consult the SNAP-LCE User’s Guide, form 1475, for information on how to do this.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
