Cannot connect to Node-RED, Ignition Edge, or groov View on GROOV-AR1

Symptoms:

NOTE: This issue happens only when you have run Node-RED flows on the GROOV-AR1.

When you try to start groov View, Node-RED, or Ignition Edge in the GROOV-AR1, the browser displays a message to indicate a "Server Not Found" error. The exact message will depend on the browser you use, but it may be similar to one of these:

  • Error 404 - Not Found
  • Server not found
  • We're having trouble finding that site
  • Cannot find [IP address]

Workaround:

If you have run into this issue, you will need to reset your GROOV-AR1 to factory defaults. (For instructions, see the Maintenance chapter of the groov Box User's Guide for GROOV-AR1, form 2104.) 
 
Before resetting your GROOV-AR1 to factory defaults, you can use groov Admin to back up your groov View project (System > Backup and Restore).  This issue prevents groov View from being able to start, so the backup has to be done from groov Admin.  
 
Because this issue prevents Node-RED and Ignition Edge from starting, you won't be able to make backups of those projects.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
