Invalid trend configuration can crash groov View

Symptoms:

After you configure a trend, groov View fails to restart cleanly and instead shows a 503 error (Service Unavailable).

Sometimes an invalid trend configuration isn't caught, and groov View continues to run after the configuration has been added. Any trend with an invalid configuration won't work, however. If you then try to restart groov View, it fails to start up.

Workaround:

Make sure you don't configure a trend with an invalid period or update interval.

Resolution:
