In groov, events stop updating and sending notifications

Symptoms:

Events stop changing states. Events that were active stay active, and those that were inactive stay inactive, regardless of their tag values. Message logs stop showing updates, and you stop seeing updates in the groov System log as well.

This issue occurs only if you have a custom event message, with the message text coming from a string variable or string table element, and the custom message previously contained something but ends up entirely empty. For example, if the only thing in the message editor is a tag reference, and that tag’s value ends up as an empty string, this issue will occur.

Workaround:

Add a space or other content to the empty custom event message.

Resolution:
