Applies To:

SNAP-PAC-S1-FM
SNAP-PAC-S1-W
SNAP-PAC-S2

Versions Affected:

Problem is fixed in version: FW R9.5e

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: FW R9.5e

Symptoms:

When these conditions exist in a system:

  • The system is using redundant controllers
  • The control strategy sets time-proportional outputs (TPOs)
  • At least one input point has been assigned a default value in PAC Control's Edit Point dialog box (Configure > I/O > I/O Points button > {select an input point} > Modify button)
...the following errors may be logged to the controller's Message Queue:
  • -539  I/O error; performing retry.
  • -29 Wrong object type. Most likely caused by moving a pointer table element to a pointer of the wrong type.
  • -534 Attempt(s) to communicate with I/O Unit failed.
In the Message Queue, the Chart column for all of these errors will be the <system> chart, and "N/A" will be displayed in the Block and Line columns.
