mistic PID values set from the Debugger Inspect dialog box are overwritten if the scan rate is changed

Applies To:

SNAP-PAC-S1
SNAP-PAC-S1-FM
SNAP-PAC-S1-W
SNAP-PAC-S2
SNAP-PAC-S2-W

Versions Affected:

Versions affected: All PAC firmware versions through R9.5d

Resolved In Version:

PAC Firmware R10.0d

Symptoms:

Note: This issue applies only when using PAC Control Professional with Legacy strategy options enabled (File > Strategy Options > Legacy tab).

In PAC Control Professional Debug mode, if you use the Inspect dialog box to change mistic PID values, and later, you use the Edit PID Loop dialog box to change the scan rate for the same mistic PID, the controller incorrectly resets all mistic PID parameters to the values configured in the PAC Control strategy, which may or may not be the current values.

Workaround:

  1. If possible, set the scan rate first.
    or
  2. Store the new PID parameter values in strategy logic.
When you want to change the scan rate, first set the desired scan rate, and then use strategy logic to set all other PID parameters to the values saved in the strategy.
