PAC Manager - Negative number in Add Memory Map Values dialog box generates error

Symptoms:

This issue occurs if you are creating or editing an I/O Unit Configuration File (file extension .otg) in PAC Manager and you choose Memory Map Value to set a value directly in the memory map. In the Add Memory Map Values dialog Box, if you enter a negative number in the Value field, you receive the error “Invalid value! Please enter a valid value.”

The error occurs only when configuring a 4-byte Int or 8-byte Int with a negative value; it does not occur with float or string values.

Workaround:

You can add a negative number using its hexadecimal equivalent. For example, -1 for a 4-byte integer may be inserted as 0xffffffff.

Another option is to add bogus values when creating the memory-map additions within PAC Manager. After saving the configuration file, open the file in a text editor like Notepad and manually modify the file’s “value” fields as needed.
