E1/E2 brain board may be unresponsive after changing IP settings

Symptoms:

When using the Change IP Settings tool in PAC Manager to change the IP settings on an E1 or E2 brain board, you may receive an error message: "Communication error with 192.168.0.1 - 0xFFFFFFFE". Afterwards your device may become unresponsive. Once the device is responding again, you will see that the IP settings have been changed.

Workaround:

Cycle power on the E1 or E2.
If that doesn't work, in PAC Manager choose Tools > Find Opto 22 MMP Devices. Check to see if the device reset and is sending a BootP request.
If the device is still unresponsive, contact Opto22 Product Support.
