E2 may incorrectly report underrange Optomux counts

Symptoms:

When you are reading Optomux counts from an E2 brain board, you may see counts jump erratically when the input field signal would normally indicate counts of less than -200.

Counts may be far too high (typically in the 10,000-20,000 range, but possibly as high as 61,439). Any value over 10,891 indicates this issue. These erratic values may be interspersed with jumps to -4096.

Correct behavior is that you can measure underrange counts down to -386, with the value jumping between the actual and -4096. Below -386, counts jump back up to 10,891, again alternating with -4096.
