SYMPTOMS

When you're trying to import an idb.txt file from a PAC Control strategy into groov Build, the operation never finishes. The progress spinner continues to spin and the strategy is not imported.

CAUSE

groov expects an idb.txt file with a drive letter in the internal path/filename. If the path starts with a computer name or an IP address instead of a drive letter, the operation cannot be completed.

Example: groov expects one of the first lines in the idb.txt file to look like this:

# NAME :         C:\Documents\Opto22 Strategy\my_strategy.idb

A computer name or IP address will look different, for example:

# NAME :         \\48.15.16.23\Documents\Opto22 Strategy\my_strategy.idb

RESOLUTION

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.

WORKAROUND

Manually edit the idb.txt file and change the path to use a drive letter.
