Applying security updates in groov Admin prevents access to groov App

SYMPTOMS

If you apply security updates in groov Admin and then try to access groov App, a window appears asking for the license file. If you choose a valid license file, the following message is displayed:

"Error: The license is not valid because it has been modified. Please install a new license from www.opto22.com."

Version 1.570.23 of groov Admin had an "Apply Security Updates" button at the bottom of the System Information page. This button was removed in subsequent versions, but clicking it updates a number of resources on the groov Box, putting the system into an unknown state.

RESOLUTION

There are two updates that need to be applied in the following order:

  1. groov Admin 1.570.31
  2. groov App R1.0d
