Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.2a for SNAP PAC
Problem is fixed in version: R7.2i for UIO

Symptoms:

If a control engine's bootup process is interrupted by a connection attempt at just the right moment, its host port 22001 becomes unresponsive. Communication attempts by PAC Control or PAC Term, for example, result in error -10038. The unit's port 2001 continues to respond to pings and connections attempts. Cycling power to the control engine restores operation.

An OptoTerminal G70 or G75 can also cause this lockup. If a control engine and an OptoTerminal are turned on at the same time, the OptoTerminal finishes booting up first and may trigger the bug, disabling the control engine's port 22001 until power is cycled.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue for SNAP PAC firmware.
