Problem was introduced in version: R8.3a
Problem is fixed in version: R9.4b

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R9.4b

Symptoms:

The message text for an event message is not copied to the MMIO location 'Message N: Text of most recent message' (where N is the message number), if the Event Message number is greater then 0. The message text is actually sent, and the correct message is copied to the MMIO address for Event 0, but the 'Text of most recent message' is blank for all other Event Message numbers.

Workaround:

Do a generic read of the misplaced Most Recent Message Text as follows:

  1. In Inspect mode in PAC Manager, click Other > Generic Read/Write.
  2. For the Address, enter the base address 0xF1209000 for Event Message Number 0, and select String as the Type.

The string message will appear in the Value field.

  3.  Add 0x5B4 to the base address for each subsequent Event Message Number. For example, the next address, Event Message 1, would be located at 0xF12095B4. Event Message 2 would be located at 0xF1209B68.
