File in controller's MicroSD card root directory cannot be deleted

Symptoms:

A file in the root directory of a MicroSD enabled controller, cannot be deleted after performing a directory listing of the root directory. This only occurs is a MicroSD memory card is not installed in the card slot. The file in the root directory remains locked and as a result, cannot be deleted.

Workaround:

Install a MicroSD memory card.
