Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.2a for SNAP-PAC
Problem is fixed in version: R7.2i for UIO

Symptoms:

The SNMP setting "Enable Cold Start Trap," at memory map address 0xFFFF F03C 0064, is being ignored. Also, two cold start traps are sent when the device is powered up. An SNMP protocol Version 1 cold start trap is sent out, and an improperly formed SNMP protocol Version 2 cold start trap is also sent out (see KB60572 for more information on the V2-specific problem). If you are using an SNMP-compliant management system such as Computer Associates' Unicenter®, Hewlett-Packard's OpenView®, or IBM's Tivoli®, the management system may crash due to this unexpected, malformed V2 trap.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
