PAC Control strategy filenames with a period cause download problems

Symptoms:

PAC Control strategy names that include a period followed by a character, can cause download problems in Debug mode.

Here's an example of what happens:

Suppose a PAC Control strategy is named WidgetSorter1.3. Download the strategy, close the strategy, and re-open the strategy using the most recent list (File > most recent list).

The name in the most recent list appears correctly, but when opened, the file is named WidgetSorter1. Notice the strategy tree also lists the truncated file name.

Go to Debug mode, and PAC Control requests a new download because it detects the strategy filenames are different.

Workaround:

To work around this problem, open the strategy by selecting File > Open Strategy, and select the Strategy Name.

Another work around is to use the underscore character instead of a period.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
