Alarm point's persistence time may be reduced in PAC Display

Applies To:

PAC Display Professional
PAC Display Basic

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.1i
Problem is fixed in version: R8.2a

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.2a

Symptoms:

The configured persistence time for an alarm point may be reduced when the point goes out of a Normal state for a second time. This occurs if the point state reverts back to Normal before the entire persistence time has elapsed.

For example, if a discrete alarm point is set up with a peristence time of 5000 ms as shown below, then a point would have to be out of the Normal state for 5 seconds before it would be considered in an alarmed state. If the point reverts to a Normal state after only 3 seconds, then the next time the point is not in a Normal state, the persistence time is reduced to 2 seconds instead of 5 seconds.
